South Summit Brazil 2024

Turim once again had a presence at South Summit Brazil 2024!

Held on March 20, 21, and 22 in Porto Alegre, South Summit Brazil is considered one of the world’s largest innovation events in the technology and entrepreneurship sectors. This edition attracted over 23,000 participants, including 3,000 startups and 900 investors.

Our partners, Roberta Goulart and Nilton Bastos Filho, along with Carolina Assis, Private Equity and Venture Capital Analyst at the company, represented Turim.

Roberta Goulart, our Chief Sustainability Officer, participated in a panel discussion titled “ESG through the Venture Capital Lens” alongside Gilberto Ribeiro de Oliveira Filho, Partner and CIO of VOX Capital, Camila Sangali, General Partner of Igah Ventures, and moderated by journalist Naiara Bertão from Valor Econômico. The panel offered valuable insights into incorporating and measuring sustainable, social, and governance practices in investments.

Topics included the opportunity for Venture Capital investors to promote ESG practices in startups from day one, as well as how to integrate and measure these criteria in invested companies. The panel also discussed the challenges, risks, and opportunities of applying ESG in startups.
